Albany Consort Concert - American Orchestra: March 1
Americana Orchestra is a chamber music ensemble performing original music inspired by the American landscape. The scores are performed in live concerts, with all profits from the ensemble's studio recordings supporting environmental preservation efforts.
The Americana Orchestra launched in May 2013 with a sold-out performance at the Center for New Music (San Francisco. The ensemble has released one studio EP, Wild Blood, which features four original songs alongside an arrangement of the traditional ballad John Riley.

First Communion: March 2
A First Communion Class is being scheduled for Sunday, March 2. This practical and informative session is intended for young people who have not yet received Holy Communion or participated in a first communion class before. Typically in our congregation children as young as second grade are eligible for this class, but participation is at the parents' discretion. If you feel your children will be able to understand the concepts and participate in the discussion, please plan for them to attend. At least one parent should also participate, since this will enable good discussions at home. The session will begin at 4:00 PM. If you are interested in participating, please send an email to

â€śSavvy Social Securityâ€ť workshop: April 27
Save the Date â€“ Sunday, April 27, 4pm, â€śSavvy Social Securityâ€ť workshop: Thrivent Financial has a new workshop entitled, â€śSavvy Social Securityâ€ť which provides education on when and possibly even more importantly, on how, a couple or individual, should take their social security. It shows the many, many different ways that Social Security can be taken, helping people to understand that there could be a huge financial benefit in choosing correctly. Every person who attends will be glad they took the time to learn this useful and valuable information. A new pilates class has begun on Monday evening from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall. No need to sign-up/register. Drop-in fee is $5 and it is pay as you go.
"Open Painting and Drawing"
â€śOpen Painting and Drawingâ€ť is a drop-in opportunity that offers a pleasant space to work, tables, plus social and artistic interaction each Thursday morning from 9AM-12Noon. Bring your easel and supplies; no instruction provided. Join fellow artists of all levels and mediums. This is an Immanuel-sponsored activity that is being offered to the community.
